How can I become a member of DVS?

To become a member you must first attend an Orientation.  At this meeting you will learn more about Synergy and have the opportunity to meet some of the members in a relaxed atmosphere.  Upon completion of an application form and payment of an initiation fee, you will become a Provisional Member.

Provisional Membership continues for six months.  During this period, we will have the opportunity to get to know each other.  You will be required to attend a set number of events and find two regular members who feel they know you well enough to recommend you for regular membership.

If a prospective member is in a committed relationship, we require each partner to attend an orientation, even if one partner chooses not to join the group.  Because we value honesty, we accept only those who have the informed consent of their partners.

After the Steering Committee has determined that you have met the eligibility requirements, you will be invited to become a regular member.  Upon receipt of your first year’s dues, your membership status will be upgraded from Provisional to Regular membership.

All Provisional and Regular members receive our monthly newsletter.  Regular members who choose to be listed also receive our Member Directory.  Listing in this directory is optional.  Only members listed in the directory receive a copy.

Our next orientation is scheduled for Saturday, April 2 at 4:00 PM in Drexel Hill.  There will be a one-hour social for prospective members to meet some of our current and provisional members followed by the presentation.  Our Annual Dinner Dance and General Membership Meeting is the same evening just minutes from our orientation hosts' home.  For more information about our Annual Dinner Dance, please contact us at least one week prior to our reservation deadline of March 20.
